Listed below are the 7 Chakra's most referred to in Reiki, however, there are 144,000 on the human body.
Root Chakra - Located beneath the buttocks. This Chakra vibrates to the color RED and is responsible for your basic energy level. If you lack energy RED art would be good for you! If you have too much energy then use red sparingly and add some blue to balance it.
Sacral Chakra-Located in the Reproductive area above genitals. This Chakra vibrates to the color ORANGE. If you want more natural connection to your emotions and "gut" wisdom this would be a good color to add to your environment. Think of the orange robes that monks wear in the east. If you suffer from anxiety or fear incorporate salmon instead of orange.
Solar Plexus-Located in the center of the belly. This Chakra vibrates to the color YELLOW. If you want to feel more empowered and joyful about life yellow is a great color to incorporate in your environment. Stay away from yellow if you suffer from anxiety or fearfulness. Instead use coral or salmon.
Heart Chakra- Located in the center of the chest. This Chakra vibrates to the color GREEN. If you want more clarity and loving energy incorporate green into your environment. Avoid green if you have an illness that may grow such as cancer. You can replace green with Turqoise if you have concerns about cancer but still want to increase connectness to the heart.
Throat Chakra-Located in the throat. This Chakra Vibrates to the color BLUE. If you want to be able to communicate better in your life the use of blue in the environment would be a good choice. If you lack energy too much blue can cause lethargy add a little red to balance it out.
Third Eye Chakra-Located in the center of the forehead. This Chakra vibrates to the color PURPLE. If you want to connect more to "God" or "Divine Spirit" this is a good color to incorporate into your environment. Be careful if you suffer from depression.. Purple is not recommended in high doses if you are depressed.
Crown Chakra--Located above the crown or the head. Vibrates to MAGENTA or WHITE GOLDEN LIGHT. If you want be more on purpose in your life connection to these colors is great.
Now that you have a little knowlege you may want to go into one of the galleries and choose a piece of art to work with. Once it's up on the screen enlarge it. Now begin gazing while breathing gently. If you can remember which color connects to which Chakra and begin to visualize each color flowing from the screen to the appropriate Chakra. For example ---RED flows to the Root. Green to the heart.
If you can't remember no worries just have fun and gaze gently at the picture. The colors and your body will do the rest.
